Process

A marina at Kendall Bay was included in the Local Environmental Plan (LEP) endorsed by Canada Bay Council in 1999 and reaffirmed in Council’s LEP Review of 2008. It was also included in the Sydney Harbour Regional Environmental Plan (Sydney Harbour Catchment) 2005 as an area zoned for marinas.

The proponent conducted community consultation as part of the preparation of the Environmental Assessment, which has been placed on exhibition by the Department of Planning. Submissions close on 30 November 2010.

All submissions will be considered and a report will be prepared by the Department and submitted to the Minister for Planning. The Minister will determine the application under Part 3A of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
